About This Opportunity
Herman Miller’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their career. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
 
As a Customer Care Intern, you will help formalize a process for onboarding team members when they join the Customer Care Team as a Coordinator or the next level up. You will explore how to use existing technologies to help with this process.
 
 
What You'll Do

  • Develop an onboarding system for new team members at all levels (Coordinator, Consultant, Specialist, Strategist) and across disciplines (commercial and government accounts).
  • Help develop a process to get team members ready to move from role to role and between teams.
  • Take part in the day-to-day work of the team at a Coordinator level.
  • Work with a cross-functional team to complete an intern project.
  • Attain on-the-job work experience aligned with your career objectives.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

  • Able to navigate different roles to gain understanding.
  • A good listener with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced with/had exposure to training processes.
  • Someone who seeks to understand and has initiative.
  • Enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts upon request. You must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.
  • Satisfactorily finished with the basic coursework in your chosen degree program.
  • In favorable academic standing within your current academic program.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
