**Job Summary**


Job Description

Plans, manages and coordinates the activities of employees assigned to the AMSS Directorate either directly or through subordinate managers. This position is highly Customer focused and represents URS to Government and vendor representatives. Either directly or through subordinate managers:

• Responsible for development and sustainment of a culture of safety, quality, compliance, and professionalism within the Maintenance Directorate,

• Provides oversight and direction to the AMSS Directorate,

• Establishes, modifies or directs the establishment or modification of work procedures to ensure schedules are met,

• Responsible for keeping Customer representatives apprised of on-going and long-term activities,

• Partners with US Army Airfield Directorate and Program Management Directorate,

• Responsible for the administration of Company policies,

• Directs the implementation of performance management tools by subordinate managers and supervisors.

**Minimum Requirements**

The Maintenance Operations Director requires a Bachelors’ degree or 8 years’ equivalent experience, and a minimum of 8 years of directly related US Army or Air Force AMSS experience, including 4 years of management experience and experience leading an organization of over 50 staff; Demonstrated areas of experience must include:

• Current working knowledge of US Army regulations, requirements, processes and systems for rotary wing maintenance,

• Experience in the establishment or modification of processes to support AMSS operations

• Familiar with Aviation Maintenance and Aviation Logistics operations

• Familiar with ISO 9001, AS9100 or AS9110 in an aviation sustainment environment

• Familiar with commercial or commercial variant aircraft sustainment

• Ability to handle multiple issues and projects in a changing environment

• Ability to establish priorities in a changing environment

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma preferred
