**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking an AN/SPS-48 E/G RADAR Technician in support of Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC).

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Provide Fleet Technical Support (FTS) including Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA), operation, preventive and corrective maintenance, functional checks, diagnose connectivity faults, troubleshooting, testing, On Board Maintenance Training (OBMT), onboard material assessments/inspections including (GROOM), (PIA), (C5RA), (TSRA), (ICMP), (INSURV) , engineering/technical evaluation and analysis, removal/installation, repair, pier side refurbishment, overhaul, and restoration, and modernization/upgrade of AN/SPS-48 E and G 3-D air-search RADAR , RADAR Display and Distribution System (RADDS), and associated sub-systems and equipment.

+ Assist Ship's Force and government personnel to analyze and resolve malfunctions detected during equipment operation and test.

+ Analyze equipment review and inspection data to determine source of fault, and recommend repair, replacement or other corrective action.

+ Suggest equipment engineering changes toward improving quality and reliability and to facilitate installation, maintenance and repair.

+ Report findings/discrepancies via a Technical Assistance Visit Report (TAVR), TAAS INFO, Maintenance Action Forms (MAF), and/or electronic de-brief upon completion of shipboard FTA tasks.

+ Conduct oral debriefings to management and technical personnel.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

+ Must have successfully completed U.S. Navy rating “A” school and AN/SPS-48E/G RADAR “C” schools or equivalent hands-on experience.

+ A minimum of six (6) years experience in installation, testing, troubleshooting, fault isolation and repair of combat or C4I systems

+ A minimum of three (3) years specialized experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and in depth knowledge of AN/SPS-48 RADAR System variants, sub-systems, and equipment.

+ Must be capable of using and reading technical operation and maintenance documentation and manuals, blueprints, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and data tables.

+ Must possess a thorough knowledge of technical publications related to Navy surface ship combat and/or electronic systems.

+ Must be able to communicate effectively in written and oral expression.

+ Must know theory of electrical, electronic, RADAR, and RF principles.

+ Must possess a Secret Security Clearance.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Bachelor or Associates of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics Technology, or other technical field is a plus

+ AN/SPS-48E/G RADAR operational and maintenance experience gained at or in support of Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), another Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), Alteration Installation Team (AIT), or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is a plus.
