**Job Summary**

AECOM has an immediate opening for an Armament – Communications & Electronics Supervisor at our maintenance facility at Fort Polk, LA.

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Division Chief, the Armament – C&E Supervisor will organize, plan, coordinates activities of 15 – 20 Technicians/Gunsmiths and Production support personnel involved in servicing and repairs of weapons and communication/electronic systems.

+ Make sure all work is performed in accordance with the current statement of work.

+ Supervise assigned Electrical and Armament maintenance and repair staff during shifts.

+ Work from prints, diagrams, specification and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs.

+ Well versed in AC/DC Electrical /Electronic theory.

+ Well versed in military weapon’s operation, maintenance and security requirements.

+ Handle disciplinary actions, carry out training and evaluate personnel performance within the branch.

+ Assemble and submit accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports.

+ Enforce the QA/QC program and related tasks.

+ Execute work to the customer’s satisfaction.

+ Reviews and evaluates operations performance as compared to project plans.

+ Review section requirements forecasts and takes appropriate action to assure requirements are met in order to staff various changing missions.

+ Keep Maintenance Division Chief informed and coordinate with branch department personnel concerning the execution of maintenance and repair work schedules.

+ Ensure that all activities have operational plans for environmental protection, safety, fire prevention and ensuring operational continuity plans are in place during service outages.

+ Supervises Gunsmiths whom can repair and service foreign and domestic firearms, weapons and accessories as well as other types of weapons systems with minimal supervision.

+ Review estimates and designs from the various military units and manufacturer departments.

+ Inspects, trains other personnel and performs organizational and intermediate electronic maintenance/modification on contract units, subsystems and other weapon system components and support equipment.

+ Advises other team members and solves unusual electronics problems by analysis and tests on electronic and electrical systems.

+ Performs other duties and assignments as required.

**Minimum Requirements**

1. Must be a US Citizenship or Permanent Legal Resident

2. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

3. Minimum five (5) years actual and recent experience in the repair of electronic test measurement and diagnostic equipment required.

4. Must have at least five (5) years actual and recent experience in repairing and maintaining armament equipment.

5. Ability to develop and review designs by researching and analyzing a variety of engineering data.

6. Apply engineering practices to develop, prepare or recommend schematics, designs changes, electrical drawings and parts lists.

7. Conducts tests of prototypes requiring selection and adaptation or modification of a wide variety of critical test equipment and test procedures.

8. Set up and operate equipment to record data to be analyzed and prepare test reports of significant complexity that require resolutions at engineering level.

9. Expert knowledge of operation, capabilities and limitations of a wide range of electronic test equipment and systems, such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, avionics test sets, etc.

10. Sound methodologies, concepts and practices to troubleshoot complex electronic test equipment to component level, including the use of automatic test equipment.

11. Ability to read and interpret complex technical materials such as manuals, drawings, schematics and block diagrams.

12. Soldering experience of both surface mount and thru-hole components.

13. Ability to interact with design engineers, end users and other key personnel to resolve complex technical issues.

14. Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision.

15. For quality purposes, IAW the contract PWS, all completed repairs must pass an established calibration process or meet the requirements of the OEM’s established specification tables.

16. Candidates must have a valid Driver’s License.

17. Position will require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

18. Position will require the ability to pass a pre-employment drug-screen and a government background check.

19. Candidates must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

20. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

21. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

22. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications, such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

23. Candidates must obtain STS Certification within 180 days.

24. Must be available for any shift. Be willing to work weekends and other hours as needed

**Preferred Qualifications**

1. Certification preferred.

2. Over five years’ experience in the repair of electronic test measurement and diagnostic equipment with relevant military training.

3. Military calibration experience preferred.

4. Over five years’ experience in repairing and maintaining armament equipment.
