**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking an Assessment Director to support SWRMC at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in Honolulu, HI. The position is located at PHNSY in Honolulu, HI.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Assist in devising, implementing, and maintaining standardized engineering approaches for pre- and post-overhaul equipment and system testing plans, procedures, and assessment programs.

+ Assist managing and coordinating assessment programs.

+ Review repair and modernization advance planning procedures.

+ Develop statistical documentation and perform engineering studies for maintenance, engineering issues and assessment programs for a combination of equipment, systems, ships and ship classes.

+ Provide engineering solutions to specific shipboard equipment problems when required.

+ Develop and/or utilize automated data systems to manage Fleet assessment support.

+ Coordinate assessments and expert diagnostics to shipboard equipment and system malfunctions on active ships pier side and underway for the purpose of finding root cause and best course of action to restore to full operational condition.

+ Assess operating shipboard systems to identify material deficiencies.

+ Submit root cause analysis and recommended action reports.

+ Chair/attend assessment conferences and briefings on behalf of SWRMC with NAVSEA, Fleet, other Naval Commands, and contractors.

+ Act as an advisor to these other commands and Naval ships on matters pertaining to ship availability advance planning, assessments, and program management techniques including operation, test, repair, and maintenance engineering.

+ Complete all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Ten years of technical experience.

+ Excellent communication and analytical skills; must have keen project management skills.

+ Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.

+ Position may require travel.

+ Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Prior experience as engineers or technicians serving in the U.S. Navy at the E-6 or above level; prior experience with assessment teams, or project management preferred.
