**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking a Assistant Project Director to be based in our Kincardine, Ontario location.

The Assistant Project Director reports to the Project Director and is responsible for the following:

* Provides day to day project management direction, including development of plans, procedures, schedules and budgets for the successful completion of the project.

* Manages the completion of contract activities in a safe manner within the approved schedule and cost estimate.

* Manages the completion of all work in accordance with applicable codes, standards, plans and specifications.

* Enforces adherence to the policies and procedures.

* Manages the integration of interface activities, project support, engineering and field operations.

* Administrative responsibilities for all project activities.

* Coordinates the integration of all engineering, planning, procurement and construction activities.

* Maintains open lines of communication with Bruce Power project management and other Bruce Power representatives.

* Directs the implementation of the assessment and mitigation of risks.

* Coordinates activities of the AECOM project team with the Bruce Power Project Manager.

* Provide monthly project status reports.

* Maintain project expectations for Safety, Quality, Human Performance and Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE).

* Support Project Director in all matters.

* Ensuring that safety, quality, schedule, ALARA, and cost goals are met.

* Ensuring development and effective implementation of the QEPs.

* Providing interface with project subcontractors and craft personnel.

* Ensuring adherence to applicable Bruce Power procedures and policies of all site operations and functions.

* Managing the completion of all work in accordance with the contract documents and applicable codes, standards, plans and specifications.

* Ensuring adherence to the AECOM QA Manual(s) implementing requirements of a Certificate or Authorization issued by ASME and/or National Board (when applicable), as well as to policies and procedures approved by the project.

**Minimum Requirements**


* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Facility Management or other relevant discipline, or

* Demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.


* Entrants to this position require 12 years in Project management of multi-discipline teams for commercial nuclear plants including construction oversight activities

* Has a record of proven performance as Project Manager on previous project(s).

* Capable of performing as the highest project lead on a medium-risk, medium-complexity project.

* Start date July 2018 thru April 2021 with the potential of longer term

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ 20+ years engineering, operations/maintenance, M&O, construction, project controls, and/or procurement experience.
