**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Aviation Project Manager for immediate employment for the Phoenix, AZ office. Candidate will be responsible for the overall management of one or more airfield projects, in accordance with the written project/construction documents and established policies and procedures. Plans and directs all technical functions related to the project(s), and oversees the project team responsible for planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and closeout.



The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:



+ Administer one or more projects, to include responsibility for budget, schedule and quality adherence and performance, in accordance with the contract documents and established procedures

+ Oversee all design & construction support activities for each assigned project

+ Manage, coordinate, and supervise the project team, which may consist of one or more Design Managers, Construction Managers, Resident Engineer(s), Office Engineer(s) and other support staff

+ Ensure the coordination of all project activities with airport tenants, airlines, airport departments, governmental and other agencies

+ Prepare monthly report(s) detailing the progress, accomplishments, issues and current status of the project

+ Provide documentation as required by client for the administration and execution of each project

+ Review and concur in the proposed settlement of change orders, claims, and revisions to the design and/or construction scope, schedule and budget

+ Evaluate and provide recommendations for changes and/or modifications to the design and construction scope of services

+ Participate in marketing and business development activities including client interaction, conference attendance, proposal preparation and presentations



**Minimum Requirements**



+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

+ 8+ years of experience in managing aviation projects at air carrier airports

+ Arizona PE license or ability to obtain

+ Experience managing construction projects in an active airfield environment

+ Knowledge of and experience in writing a Safety Plan, a QA/QC Plan, a Document Control Plan, and a Project Procedures Manual

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to manage projects and people

+ Must be able to obtain airfield security clearance

+ Must possess a valid Class C driver’s license, and be able to obtain certification to drive in AOA movement areas

+ Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required



**Preferred Qualifications**



+ 10+ years' experience preferred
