**Job Summary**

The **Business Development Process Manager** (BDPM) is responsible for ensuring the timely and effective management and implementation of AECOM’s business development, procurement, and operational procedures. The BDPM reports to the Director of Business Development and is a member of the Business Development Resources and Process team. The BDPM is responsible for assuring adherence to AECOM’s policies and procedures as well as overall compliance with AECOM/MS business development policies. The successful candidate will develop and strengthen AECOM’s major capture-related systems, processes, relationships, and staff capacities.


**Business Development Process Management**

+ Serve as a quality control point and support the quality assurance efforts of the business development team by providing guidance on AECOM’s policies/procedures related to business development.

+ Support business development financial management by monitoring the respective capture budgets against the AECOM “Schedule A” and providing guidance on financial planning for forecasts, budget tracking.

+ Participate in monthly financial reviews with the SVP Business Development and Practice Leads on business development expenditures and gate checks.

+ Support compliance with AECOM/MS policies related to hiring of third parties in support of business development efforts.

+ Communicate changes to AECOM/MS policies and procedures to the business development team and Practice area team.

+ Supports the maintenance of bid and recruitment databases

**Personnel Training**

+ Provide training and development to Business Development staff on AECOM’s policies and procedures.

+ Train and mentor staff to serve as future business development managers.


+ In concert with the Director of Business Development, promotes and provides quality control oversight in all business development functions and operations

+ Maintains corporate business development/bid templates and materials

+ Prepare other reports as needed or requested, especially as it relates to measuring business development efforts.

**Process Development**

+ As a member of the Business Development Team, support the Director in developing and producing guidelines and instructions for AECOM/MS Business Development processes and procedures.

+ Assist in customization of manuals, procedures, policies, recordkeeping, and duties related to overall business development efforts, including procurement in order to comply with AECOM MS policies and procedures.

+ Work with the Director to identify process improvements and codify them.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ A minimum of 5 up to 8 years of experience in business development, or operations functions.

+ Demonstrable experience in USAID contracting and/or cooperative agreements, grants, USAID ADS, FAR, AIDAR and other USG international regulations.

+ Strong SharePoint and Salesforce experience preferred.

+ Strong Excel, budgeting and financial management skills.

+ Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring junior staff and conducting internal training.

+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

+ Creative problem solving skills and experience with business applications and operations.

+ Team player and solutions- and detail-oriented.

+ Ability to gather and document business requirements.

+ Ability to synthesize and summarize large amounts of complex information so that it can be presented in a simple and easy to understand way

+ Master’s degree in a discipline related to business management, financial management or international development preferred.

+ Overseas travel may be required.
