**Minimum Requirements**

As part of our estimating function you will be key to the production of baseline estimates and also assisting the procurement process in establishing budgets and assessing tender returns. You will support post contract delivery in terms of value management, high value scope changes and option appraisals.

* Assist in the production of baseline estimates and also the procurement process in assessing tender returns

* Assess the impact of scope change during the delivery / construction phase

* Develop processes for estimates of differing accuracies using estimating systems such as Cost OS and Cost X, RIB and Candy.

* Capable of undertaking reviews of costs and estimates to develop an effective cost benchmark process and database.

* Develop best practices for performing complex estimates and develop the supporting cost management process and procedures

* Develop and implement BIM process for estimating and cost management

**Preferred Qualifications**


* Familiar with systems such as Cost OS and Cost X, RIB and Candy etc.

* Have experience in one or more of Rail Systems, Heavy Civils / Structures, Bridges, Logistics, Highways, OSD, OLE & Electrification, High Speed Rail or Tunnelling.

* Familiarity of NEC contracts and NR Contracts.

* Understanding of the DfT ECAM process, NR GRIP process and the importance of demonstrating efficiency, value for money within regulated environments.

* Client facing and able to work in co-located environments


* Demonstrable experience of resource based estimate production for Tier 1 contractors

* A comprehensive understanding of the construction industry across a wide range of disciplines and sectors, in particular infrastructure, civils, railways or engineering construction.
