About this Opportunity
As a Client Engagement Lead, you'll play a key role in setting direction, implementing, managing, tailoring, and executing the customer experience at Herman Miller's anchor locations. You will set the strategic direction for smaller showrooms in your assigned geographic area of responsibility. You will also direct client interface and provide support and facilitation for the broad area Sales Team efforts with clients and Facility Management to create a memorable and differentiated customer experience.

  • Manage projects on multiple levels, from labor intensive facility maintenance to high level client-facing presentations. You will also maintain involvement in area, regional, and corporate projects as appropriate.
  • Build a synergistic working relationship with area Sales Support team members.
  • Conduct program management, including business planning and budget management.
  • Deliver sales presentations to clients that demonstrate a knowledge of current products, services, and workplace issues with a focus on specific customer needs.
  • Facilitate a differentiating client engagement, collaborating with Sales leadership in support of sales process objectives.
  • Inform the corporate strategy and continuous improvement efforts based on experiences with the respective Sales Team.
  • Leverage sales support technology for effective client engagement. You will maintain and troubleshoot technology tools and develop the skills of the Sales Team in the effective integration of their selling efforts.
  • Maintain a high level of competence in Herman Miller capabilities, including products, services, workplace knowledge, and showroom tools and technology.
  • Manage and maintain a world-class showroom facility, executing day-to-day action plans to provide an effective and efficient showroom operation.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
  • Support the Area Sales Vice President with client engagement creativity, support for the team's selling efforts, synergy with the broader team (including remote locations), change communication, training liaison efforts for refresh projects, and setting the strategic direction for showrooms in broader area measures of success.
  • Train Sales Teams on the use of the showroom displays and technology tools that differentiate Herman Miller in client engagement.

You might be just who we’re looking for if you have...

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of previous marketing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of systems furniture and/or electrical, office application issues, ergonomics, etc. You will also need a technical background.
  • The ability to work under and enjoy extreme pressure, constant change, and flexible work schedules.
  • Highly developed presentation skills with experience in preparing and delivering presentations, demonstrations, and/or training programs.
  • The ability to project a positive, professional, and confident image.
  • A demonstrated ability to provide outstanding service to customers.
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively use the office automation, communication, software, and tools currently used in the Herman Miller office environment. Fluency in Z-Axis is preferred.
  • The ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
