**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Director of Operations for immediate employment in the Mexico City, Mexico office.

The Director of Operations is responsible for technical and operational management of the Mexico operations with emphasis on supervising the International Airport Contract and initiative. Responsible for supervisory and subordinate assignments, responsibilities and utilization within an office. Coordinates with supervisors in execution of programs, policies, and procedures. Conducts staff meetings for dissemination of pertinent information. Coordinates project activities of office in order to meet client and project objectives. Responsible for status of on-going work and projected completion dates. Works with regional and business line marketing assisting in developing new clients and increasing market share with existing clients.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Project / Delivery

+ Manages resources to execute and deliver on projects for that Area

+ Reviews project progress, course-corrects and problem-solves as needed

+ Ensures operational excellence on projects

+ Coordinates project staffing

+ Tracks key milestones and anticipates potential risks & mitigates

+ Leads PD quality and reviews

People / Administrative

+ Manage sresources across projects

+ Develops, motivates and mobilizes team leaders and staff to maximize potential

+ Builds, trains, and retains people that align with the area and BL strategies

+ Partners with RBLLs on BD resource allocation/prioritization (esp. Seller-Doers)

+ Conducts monthly project reviews with RBLLs

+ Works closely with Sub-Region Executive and LATAM COO on regional P/L management

+ Addresses staff demographics / balances issues in hiring decisions

Business Development –

+ In Metros, supports RBLL BD strategy execution

+ Supports client engagement and pursuits, Go / No Go analysis, and portfolio analysis as needed

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Management or related field

+ 10+ years of Engineering consulting, projects, programs, and contracts

+ Operational leadership experience including a successful performance track record managing staff and P&L of $15M plus; strong financial administration skills

+ Strong understanding of risk-management issues and ability to assess, analyze, and make recommendations on risk issues

+ Excellent communications, teamwork and interpersonal skills

+ Ability to travel as required

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ 15+ years of Engineering consulting, projects, programs, and contracts

+ Project Management Professional

+ Construction management and/or Civil Engineering experience with design-build/PPP, alternative delivery

+ Experience with a cross section of Building client markets including municipal to federal governments, commercial, and industrial
