**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking an Electronic Facility Engineer for our **industrial operations & maintenance team in a manufacturing R&D facility** in Mossville, IL! Typical work hours are 6:30am – 3:00pm; hours may vary based on business demand.

This position requires a **strong industrial instrumentation background** and a drive to execute projects on time and on budget. Ideal candidates demonstrate SME level knowledge of various types of instrumentation equipment, data acquisition systems, facility systems, and automated systems typically used in an R&D environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

+ **Troubleshoot and repair 480V 3 phase circuits, Andover Automation, PLC’s, VFD’s and low voltage controls.**

+ Calibrate instrumentation equipment; **utilize CAD programs to design/draw and program ladder logic for PLC used in testing.**

+ Retrieve archived CAD prints and designs from electronic storage system.

+ Document and electronically file prints & test documentations.

+ Develop facility prints using AutoCAD.

+ Create and update Lockout / Tag out (LOTO) documentation.

+ Address safety issues and concerns for building and test programs.

+ Design and install instrumentation systems to support specific testing requirements.

+ Procure required materials, equipment and labor to complete tasks and assignments.

+ Design of automated facility systems

+ Lead efficiency, safety, or process improvement initiatives.

+ Perform code review of engineering designs for NEC, NFPA, and FM Global compliance.

**Minimum Requirements**

**Minimum Requirements:**

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electricity, Electronics, or related technical field, demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Two – Five years of experience as an electronics / electrical technician troubleshooting and repairing electrical components in an industrial setting.

3. Must have the ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.

+ This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.

+ This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.

+ Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.

+ Requires the ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at times.

+ Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, kneel, and squat at times.

+ Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.

+ Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.

+ Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other AECOM, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.

+ Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings and presentations.

+ Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.

+ Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.

+ Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

**Special Requirements:**

+ Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.

+ Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

**Preferred Qualifications**

**Preferred Qualifications:**

1. Ability to review and work with site CAD drawings.

2. Experience working with PLC's including Allen Bradley and Control Logix

3. Experience with AB HMI programming including panelbuilder 32 and Factorytalk Machine edition software.

4. Experience troubleshooting, repairing and setting parameters on AB Variable Frequency Drives

5. Experience troubleshooting repairing and setting parameters on Siemens Variable Frequency Drives

6. Experience working with RSLinx Communications software and familiarity with Controlnet and Ethernet.

7. Experience working with 480VAC including control circuits 4-20ma, 0-5V and 0-10V.

8. Experience working with ladder Logic programming and troubleshooting on Allen Bradley PLC's.

9. Experience with Communications protocol RS232, Modbus, CAN, CDL, HPIB, EtherCat is highly desired.

10. Experience with electronic systems for engine testing.

**Other Attributes:**

+ Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.
