**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Entry Level Environmental Engineer for immediate employment in the Morrisville, NC office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Perform watershed and water quality assessments and conventional aspects of watershed planning and BMP prioritization

+ Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling, and geospatial evaluations

+ Support the design efforts for a variety of water resources and site development projects

+ Field work including environmental sampling and parameter collection, stormwater BMP inspection and maintenance, BMP retrofit assessments and stream evaluations

+ Support planning, design, construction, and maintenance of stormwater infrastructure and BMPs, low impact development projects, and green infrastructure practices

+ Prepare construction documents, engineering reports, and basic data and scientific documents regarding stormwater, water quality, watershed management, and best management practices

+ Prepare written and graphic reports and make presentations

+ Required occasional travel to serve out of state clients

+ Prepare draft documents under direction, including reports, memoranda, and posters

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in civil, environmental, chemical or related engineering field

+ Working knowledge of civil and environmental engineering principles

+ Understanding of surface water quality, stormwater quality, and stormwater management in construction and post-construction settings, hydrology, fluvial processes, and applicable rules and regulations

+ Ability to perform complex engineering calculations and preliminary statistics as directed

+ Attention to detail, high quality and accuracy in work performed

+ Ability to write well, distill supporting information in the scientific literature, communicate technical issues to a wide range of readers

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation

+ Working knowledge of water resources engineering tools such as ArcGIS, SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and other standard computer software such as Microsoft products

+ Strong analytical and computational abilities

+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and technical report writing

+ Highly motivated and capable of working effectively in a team environment

+ Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master’s degree in civil/environmental engineering, or related field

+ Professional Engineering license in North Carolina or ability to obtain within one year of hiring is highly desirable
