**Job Summary**

The Environmental Field Services Manager oversees the administrative, regulatory, technical management and completion of multi-media environmental field testing projects. This includes supervision of the day-to-day operations of the on-call sampling and source emissions testing teams.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Plans, coordinates, develops, and monitors projects to completion such as, assessment of sites impacted by metals, solvents, petroleum and chlorinated hydrocarbons, pesticides, and other hazardous constituents

+ Manages on-call multi-media sampling projects for soils, concrete, sediment and water assessment, remedial design, and pump tests to support clients’ waste management needs

+ Manages emissions source testing projects for clients including oversight for the performance of Methods 1 through 5 and 18 (40 CFR Part 60), performance of Relative Accuracy Test Audits (RATA) for continuous emissions monitoring systems, testing for demonstration of compliance, testing for establishing operating limits, testing of flares, etc.

+ Establishes, promotes, and ensures safety and quality standards on all projects and work performance

+ Responsible for leading and managing performance of assigned staff including planning, organizing, hiring, and coaching

+ Determines workload for teams, including short-, medium- and long-term business goals and objectives

+ Maintains effective communication within the team and with clients

+ Identifies, analyzes and addresses the root causes of both personnel and project issues

+ May develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the technical work performed in the department

+ Monitors and evaluates staff performance, provides mentoring, constructive feedback and individual development plans as needed

+ Ensures staff and sub-contractors meets safety and other mandated training requirements

+ Participates in business development activities, including planning, scheduling, client relations, marketing, proposal preparation and presentations

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years’ experience in a Chemical plant environment, or combination of education and experience in multi-media sampling, groundwater and RCRA, writing standard operating procedures, air emissions monitoring and source testing including record keeping and reporting, and continuous emissions monitor systems (CEMS) specification, design, auditing (RATA, Opacity)

+ Knowledge of Environmental Containment Assessments, Remediation, Regulatory Compliance

+ 40 Hour HAZWOPER

+ 8 Hour HAZWOPER Annual Refresher Course

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

+ Requires enrollment in the medical monitoring program requiring initial and annual physicals

+ Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and random drug screens

+ Must possess valid Driver’s license

+ Due to nature and location of work, United States Citizenship is required

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ 3+ years supervisory or “lead tech” experience

+ 29 CFR Part 1910.120 Supervisor Training

+ Safety Trained Supervisor (STS)

+ Basic Plus
