Gensler’s Newport Beach brand design studio is looking for a talented and energetic designer who is passionate about helping our clients enhance their brand and business performance through design. As a leading global design firm, Gensler is committed to being client-first, diverse, exploratory and sustainably-minded. Come join our Newport Beach Brand studio as a graphic designer working with clients across industries and the world to express their brand stories in physical spaces, print, and digital media through brand design, graphic communications and signage and wayfinding. The position is best suited to a designer who is adept at developing creative up-front design concepts as well as having technical working knowledge in preparing final documentation and artwork for 3D/EGD, print, or digital applications. Requirements:

• Bachelors or higher degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Visual Communication or similar

• 5-8 years post graduation of directly relevant work experience required

• Experience with environmental graphic design, print design and/or digital design (Web, Apps, Motion)

• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to articulate design rationale to internal teams and clients

• Strong understanding of layout and typography skills

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Word and Excel

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, articulate and well-spoken, and the ability to work well with a wide range of internal teams and clients

• Interest in exploring solutions across multiple design platforms such as the built environment, print and digital

• A personal portfolio that contains a strong and varied design approach, as well as specific examples of fully realized and produced graphic projects; Documents showing your process, concept rationale and strategy that informed the design solution are greatly appreciated

• Ability to interpret and apply a client’s brand and design aesthetic across multiple mediums

• Plugged into emerging technologies/industry/design trends and willing to share internally

Additional Skills:

• Web/App creation software skills are a huge advantage, as is working experience with one or all of the following: After Effects, Premiere, 3D Max, SketchUp, Revit. Please highlight this experience in your response.

• Proficiency drawing in scale and familiarity with architectural construction documents, elevations, plans, and shop drawings preferred

• Strong sense of materials and fabrication/construction within a built environment

• Working knowledge of print and fabrication/construction production and vendor management

• Signage and Wayfinding experience
