**Job Summary**

AECOM has an exciting new opportunity for a proactive and strategic Manager, Field HR supporting its AECOM Field Services organization. The successful candidate will be focused on partnering with management in AFS’ Transportation Operations/Management Center programs in Virginia, Florida and Georgia to deliver HR programs and to provide HR guidance and support on employee/manager relations issues as detailed below. It is expected that the Manager will work collaboratively with peers/colleagues, COEs and other stakeholders to deliver on all initiatives. Must be a self-starter with the ability to stay positive and focused on delivery in times of change.

+ Field HR is responsible for influencing, coaching and leading management in program delivery:

+ Performance Reviews as required by the respective organizations (training, support on goal setting, performance summaries,)

+ Compensation planning (training managers on application of various aspects of the budget – equity, promotion, merit; providing guidance based on equity analysis)

+ Engagement & Retention: Providing support to senior HR leadership in gathering information and identifying trends as to why people leave, participating in the creating and implementation of engagement plans which may include facilitating focus groups or sessions with managers on retaining their high potential talent

+ Facilitation and/or implementation of DOT specific programs to support the training, development, recognition and career progression of the DOT teams.

+ Talent Acquisition: Collaborating with Talent Acquisition COE to support each DOT’s staffing requirements, most notably the transition of VDOT operations to AECOM and AECOM Field Services.

+ The other key focus area for Field HR is employee & manager relations:

+ Coaching managers on performance and behavioural issues with staff which may result in creating of formal performance improvement plans and on the flip side, providing coaching on development plans and career planning for high potential s and strong performers

+ Preparing for and conducting reductions in force/terminations; ensuring proper documentation is created in support of all involuntary exits so that data requests from other AECOM organizations (legal, unemployment responses, etc.) can be responded to quickly.

+ Leading and/or participating in investigations in support of the compliance team

+ Support Talent Acquisition to ensure timely acquisition or redeployment of talent

+ Responding to escalation of employee benefits and payroll issues that are not resolved through first point of contact interaction with appropriate COE

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience

+ 8+ years in progressive HR with a focus on hr program delivery, training, facilitation, and management coaching in a field environment with predominantly non-exempt employee base.

+ 1+ years supporting Department of Transportation business operations to include functions such as TOC’s, Safety Patrols and management of same.

+ Ability to travel to the various DOT locations in Virginia, Florida and Georgia on a regular basis to support managers and employee relations.

+ Position will require overnight travel in Virginia in the coming 8 months as the operations transfer to AECOM and AFS. Once established, travel to Florida, Georgia and Virginia locations will be important part of job.

+ Ability to issue spot and analyze trends to support HR leadership with engagement and retention initiatives

+ Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate effectively in writing and during presentations, build relationships at all levels.

+ High energy, positive attitude, and excellent interpersonal skills are required.

+ Ability to stay focused in a changing environment

+ Ability to interact with all levels within the organization

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Position must be located within a reasonable commute of one of the Primary Virginia DOT locations where AFS employees will operate (Fairfax, Virginia Beach or Chester, VA.)
