AECOM have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Electrical/Lighting Engineer with 1-3 years experience to join our building services’ lighting and electrical teams. The role is ideal for professionals who may have worked in an existing electrical consultancy or design firm, have developed a strong interest in the lighting field and are looking to further develop their technical skills in this area. You will work under the guidance of current AECOM Specialist Lighting team members and will assist in developing detailed design solutions and the delivery of a range of exciting lighting and electrical projects. The projects span a diverse range of the construction sector including Commercial, Transport Infrastructure, Hospitality, Retail, Health and Defence.

**Your development**

Our Growing Professional Skills (GPS) graduate program is designed to help you bridge the gap between formal education and the workplace. The GPS program is spread across three years and comprises a range of core competencies and recommended training. As part of the program, we work with you to develop a plan, outlining your goals and required actions, and provide training that will be reviewed every six months.

Along with local site visits, technical seminars, and internal and external training, AECOM connects you with local and global teams to source knowledge and experience, which creates an invaluable network that helps you learn, grow, and develop your professional skills.

As an added incentive, your involvement in the GPS program is fully endorsed for those seeking Professional accreditation. If you decide to do additional study, we will help you examine your options and identify particular fields of specialisation to support your career.

**Minimum Requirements**

**Key Responsibilities:**

Under the guidance of the AECOM Specialist Lighting and Electrical teams, some of your responsibilities may include:

+ Undertake lighting design from concept through detailed design phases

+ Coordinate electrical systems with the building services, architecture and structural design

+ Be responsible for delivery of part of the electrical scope, in adherence to project quality systems, program and budgets

+ Undertake site inspections and prepare memoranda of inspection

+ Engage in industry specific seminars and technical meetings to enhance your knowledge of lighting

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Degree qualification in electrical engineering

+ A current enrolment in the Associate Diploma or Masters of Design Science in Illumination (USyd). If not currently enrolled, the candidate shall have a desire to complete this course in order to obtain formal qualifications in lighting with a view to obtaining membership of the Illuminating Engineers Society MIES

+ General experience in the electrical engineering and lighting field

+ General experience in the transport infrastructure lighting field or a willingness to learn lighting design concepts in this area

+ General experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams
