Human Resources Generalist

Description

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team based in Sydney. 

Reporting to the Managing Director and Regional Operating Officer, he / she will work closely with the Regional HR Leader in Shanghai and HR Manager in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the HR Manager in the areas of recruiting, employee relations, compensation & benefits, policy administration, employee communications, performance management, learning and professional development programs.
  • Ensures compliance with Gensler policies and local employment laws.
  • Work closely with office leaders in recruitment and selection processes.
  • Handle and ensure all immigration and visa requests are handled appropriately, in house
  • Assist the office leader to handle employee relations issues, growth opportunities, future staffing assignments based on skills/goals, etc
  • Assists employees with benefits and payroll questions.
  • Maintain and coordinate on-boarding and off-boarding program such as new staff orientation programs (GO!)
  • Rollout annual PDP program and ensure the program is successful
  • Implement and facilitate learning and development programs and processes
  • Assist leaders / managers on handling performance reviews and termination
  • Ensure the best practices are adopted throughout the office
  • Other duties and responsibilities as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources and around 5 years’ of relevant experience
  • Design, architecture or professional services firm experience preferred
  • Expert in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of InDesign a plus
  • Experience in handling full cycle of Australia Visa process
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Strong project management skills and excellent ability to handle multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly learn systems, processes and procedures
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
  • Strong client focus, consultative skis and ability to influence others
  • Team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships
  • Self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines
