**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking a 1st shift Industrial / Facilities Electrical Distribution Technician for our maintenance team in a new automotive manufacturing facility in Summerville, SC!

+ Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand.

The Industrial / Facilities Electrical Distribution Technician provides an advanced level of expertise in operation, troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance to the low voltage (up to 480 V) and medium voltage (up to 15.0 KV) electrical distribution system and associated equipment.

The Electrical Distribution System includes, but is not limited to: 120V, 277 V, 480 V, 4160 V and 15.0 KV power, lighting, substations, switchgear, transformers, and associated cables, relays and meters.

This position also assists with organizing planned shutdowns, developing switching orders for planned and unplanned outages, responding to client service requests, providing feedback to the customer power and lighting status calls, utilizing Automated Building Controls and electrical monitoring systems, and providing assistance to other facilities maintenance technicians as needed.

Essential Functions:

+ Understands and complies with all Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) programs and procedures.

+ Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs on a variety of electrical equipment, controls and systems to include, but not limited to the facilities electrical power and lighting infrastructure and on the site’s low and medium voltage utilities systems.

+ Performs preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and repairs on all electrical systems and equipment, instruments, PLC and Motor control systems, VFD drives, lighting and power systems.

+ Creates and modifies site operations procedures for equipment and recommends facilities reliability improvements.

+ Analyzes problems, recommends solutions, and initiates repairs.

+ Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.

+ Works independently (i.e. with minimal supervision) as well as within the context of a team.

+ Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as Arcflash safety procedures (NFPA 70E), job hazards analysis (JHAs), lockout/tagout, and wearing of appropriate PPE.

+ Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments, including but not limited to meggers, hi-pot, DVM, etc) to help provide energy efficiency solutions.

+ Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.

+ Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment.

+ Performs other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

**Minimum Requirements**

**Minimum Requirements:**

1. High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.

2. Five years of experience as an industrial facilities maintenance electrician, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Additional Information:**

+ This position may require a valid Driver’s License.

+ This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.

+ This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.

+ Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.

+ Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.

+ Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.

+ Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.

+ Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.

+ Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.

+ Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.

+ Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.

+ Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

**Special Requirements:**

+ Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, high-visibility reflective vests, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.

+ Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

**Preferred Qualifications**

**Preferred Qualifications:**

1. Associates degree or equivalent trade school / apprenticeship credentials in Industrial Electrical or a related field.

2. Extensive experience as an industrial facilities maintenance electrician in a manufacturing environment.

3. Extensive experience operating and maintaining central utility plant equipment, including boilers, chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, etc.

4. Working knowledge of electrical Low and Medium Voltage safety testing equipment up to 15.0 KV.

5. Hands-on maintenance experience with 3-phase electrical, motors, lighting, switch gear and power distribution systems.

6. Knowledge of proper safety practices and procedures related to maintenance tasks on electrical systems up to 15.0 KV.

7. NETA or IEEE Certification associated with medium voltage equipment testing, maintenance and repair standards.

8. PLC programming knowledge.

9. Working knowledge of the use of relays, transformers, circuit breakers, and infrared scanning test equipment and interpretation of test reports.

10. Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.

11. Experience working in a Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) environment.
