**Job Summary**

**This position is contingent upon task order award and customer needs** .

**Purpose and Scope:**

An inspector examines a variety of goods, services or

operations for conformity to established quality, health, safety, legal,

business, ethical or other standards.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

1) Examine materials, products, goods, manufactured,

or services items for quality, defects, and conformance to standards and


2) May inspect visually or utilize specialized tools

such as scales, gauges, templates, calipers and

4) May affix seals or tags to approved items. May

issue or revoke licenses, permits.

5) Prepare reports of findings and corrective actions

necessary to correct deficiencies.

**Minimum Requirements**

**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:**

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Must have at least six years of experience.This position is one grade above the class that performs the work being inspected and requires additional experience or skills above the minimum qualifications of the class of worker involved in the production of the item being inspected. Must have good written and spoken communication and analytical skills and a working knowledge of basic computer systems and software programs. Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

**Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:**

Work is performed in a variety of environments. Exposure to a variety of temperatures to include extreme heat and cold can be expected. Work may be performed inside or outside. Duties may require lifting up to 25 pounds, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, and crawling.
