About this Opportunity
As a Live OS Sales and Channel Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day implementation of the Live OS sales strategy and supporting the sales process with Herman Miller and Dealer Sales Teams to meet Live OS revenue goals. This role serves as a liaison between the Live OS Product Team and Herman Miller Sales and dealer organizations to help streamline the customer journey and ensure a high rate of opportunity closure and customer satisfaction. Emphasis will be placed on team-based solution development, clear and timely communication, and working in an agile and coordinated fashion to execute and evolve the Live OS customer journey.

  • Analyze Live OS sales strategies and processes to identify and promote best practices, and to detect common frictions and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with the Insight and Exploration Team to support ongoing Live OS research initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the Live OS Product Team to support post-installation customer support.
  • Coordinate with Living Office 3.0 Service Leads to ensure that Live OS is part of a coordinated whole of integrated solutions and services to support the adoption of Living Office.
  • Develop and lead sales training for general Sales Teams, as well as deeper levels of content for lead sellers.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of the competitive landscape and identify strategies to out-position other smart furniture entrants.
  • Manage pricing strategy and support day-to-day pricing for the field.
  • Provide voice of the customer input to Live OS product extensions and other products in development.
  • Support key marketing initiatives for Live OS such as industry events and digital lead generation efforts.
  • Support key West Michigan customer visits.
  • Support the Herman Miller Sales organization in moving qualified sales leads through the sales funnel to closure.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have...
  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field of study from an accredited program. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience marketing or selling office furniture and/or technology support tools for the office.
  • A clear understanding of the commercial interiors ecosystem and experience interacting with large customers, CRE services firms, A D firms, and furniture dealers.
  • B2B sales experience in a team-selling model.
  • Comfort describing technology solutions and answering technical questions from IT professionals.
  • Comfort coaching peers in new products and strategies to win business.
  • A demonstrated entrepreneurial, risk-taking, and creative orientation.
  • The ability to be a self-starter with the confidence and ability to represent Herman Miller in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated strong sales, finance, and business acumen.
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively use the office automation, communication, software, and tools currently used the Herman Miller office environment.
  • The ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to travel approximately 30 percent of the time.
  • The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
