**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking an **experienced Maintenance Project Manager with a mechanical background** to support our operations & maintenance team within a major manufacturing complex in Aurora, IL.

+ Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working on assignments of moderate complexity related to facilities maintenance in a large industrial manufacturing setting. This position interfaces widely with all levels of management and with outside contractors and vendors. Assists with the compilation and presentation of reports regarding schedule progress, cost analysis, and forecasting. Uses a variety of software for the analysis of requirements and tracking of a project.


+ Develops scopes of work for small to large infrastructure improvement projects.

+ **Manages the addition/removal of equipment to the mechanical facility infrastructure.**

+ Collaborates with company and client facility engineering, production, and maintenance personnel.

+ Troubleshoots complex, reoccurring maintenance issues.

+ Develops design criteria. **Prepares and reviews plans, specifications, AutoCAD drawings and schedules** to determine work phases and work priorities.

+ Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment conditions, specifications, company restrictions, and construction feasibility

+ **Reviews and estimates design costs** including equipment, installation, labor materials, preparation, and other related costs.

+ **Works with subcontractors to obtain proposals for project work.**

+ Manages subcontractors performing project work.

+ Trains and performs as backup to the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler.

+ Performs administrative tasks such as developing work plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

+ Works independently (i.e. with minimal supervision) as well as within the context of a team environment.

+ Understands and complies with all Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) programs and procedures.

+ Safely performs functions of the position to insure adherence to established safety guidelines such as Arcflash safety procedures, job hazards analysis (JHAs), lockout/tagout, and the wearing of appropriate PPE by technicians and subcontractors performing electrical and other work under your direction.

+ Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment.

+ Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.

+ Other duties as assigned by Manager.

**Minimum Requirements**

**Minimum Requirements:**

1. High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.

2. Ten years of experience in Facilities or Production Maintenance as a technician, planner, specialist, or a related technical role in an industrial environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.

3. Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.

**Additional Information:**

+ Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

+ This position may require a valid Driver’s License.

+ This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

+ This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.

+ This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.

+ Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.

+ Requires the ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs as needed during a workday.

+ Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat, kneel, reach/stretch, and move in a 90-degree fashion during workday.

+ Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.

+ Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.

+ Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.

+ Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other AECOM, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.

+ Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings and presentations.

+ Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.

+ Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.

+ Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

**Special Requirements:**

+ Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.

+ Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

**Preferred Qualifications**

**Preferred Qualifications:**

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facility management, or a related field.

2. Demonstrated project estimating and project management skills, including bidding process/contractor selection, client relationships, technical report writing and presenting, project tracking and reporting.

3. Project management certification, such a CPM.

4. Experience reading electrical and facility blueprints.

5. Experience reading and modifying AutoCAD drawings.

6. Experience creating, using and maintaining electronic spreadsheets (i.e. Excel).

7. Experience and ability to apply project management software such MS Project or Primavera.

8. Experience utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System or scheduling software.

9. Experience as a General Contractor, in light construction or in vendor management.

10. Experience in waste water treatment.

11. Experience utilizing Continuous Improvement disciplines such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, 4 M’s, etc.

**Other Attributes:**

+ Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.
