**Job Summary**

This position will function as the site as a Safety, Health, and Environmental representative. It will require the ability to pass a thorough background check. This is a non-bargaining position.

Responsible for inspecting, training personnel, and performing organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance/modification on contract units, sub-systems, support equipment and related weapons system. Advise team members and solve unusual maintenance problems by analysis and test engines, pneudraulic, fuel, electrical/electronic systems, etc. Additionally, acts as Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to the Site or Team Supervisor. Position reports to the Supervisor. Working with Site Supervision, you will be responsible for:

Monitoring compliance with all company and business HSE policies, procedures and practices

Coordinate HSE programs, including policy and procedure, training, hazard analysis, audit/assessment, permitting, recordkeeping, and inspection.

Assist in resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from within the company, customers, etc.

Perform inspections to ensure workplace conditions and work practices conform to HSE standards and best practices.

Ensures workplace conditions and practices comply with applicable federal, state, local and customer/client HSE regulations and standards evaluate, and report metrics to measure status and progress.

Perform injury and incident investigations with root cause analysis, prepare corresponding reports, and manage to closure.

Develop, coordinate, and execute an effective safety training program.

All other assigned duties

Essential Responsibilities:

1) Services, repairs and overhaul equipment and engines.

2) Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds equipment and engine components, fuel systems (including cells, tanks and fuel/metering control systems), and functional components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.

3) Inspects and repairs power plants (engines) malfunctions, including cracked components, oil leaks, etc.

4) Diagnoses malfunctions, isolate causes and correct breaks.

5) Test engine operations, using testing equipment to locate source of malfunction.

6) Replaces and repairs damaged components, uses hand tools, gauges, and tests equipment.

7) Removes engine and major components from equipment, using hoist or other lifting devices.

8) Disassembles and inspects parts for wear, warping, or other defects.

9) Repairs and replaces defective engine components and reassemble and install engine on weapon systems and vehicles.

10) Adjusts, repairs, or replaces instruments, electrical/electronics, fuel/oil systems and accessories.

11) Performs vehicle services, including engine flush/cleaning, parts lubrication, and maintenance checks.

12) May service engine components operations making repairs and overhaul, required to ensure safe operating condition.

13) May specialize in repair and modification of engines, structural components, precision repair, functional spare parts, and assemblies.

14) Recommends revisions to maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and ensure quality workmanship.

* High school graduate or equivalent is desirable. Five (5) years actual and recent, vehicle or missile, or related weapon systems experience required.

* Good written and communication skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office and integrated software applications, organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

* Ability to read, analyze and interpret company policies and government regulations.

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customer and co-workers.

* Ability to accomplish results through interaction with management team and co-workers on site, and/or on own with significant latitude and independence in assignments.

* Ability and desire to obtain certification/accreditation (CSP, STS, etc.) in the safety field.

Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
