**Job Summary**

AECOM is currently seeking a highly talented mid- to senior level Water Resources Engineer to support our Environment Business Line in our Chelmsford, MA office. Position will provide technical expertise and specialized consulting advice in water and natural resources including but not limited to hydrologic and hydraulic investigation, hydrodynamics, sediment transport and water quality modeling in support of various water and natural resource projects. Individual will be a technical resource for internal staff and clients.



The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:



+ Function as part of the Water Resources Group.

+ Provide advice and counsel to staff and clients in his/her area of expertise

+ Act as an internal technical resource for AECOM staff nationally and internationally

+ Plan and manage water resources projects and task assignments

+ Responsible for developing business to support the group and pursuing business through applications of current and evolving technology

+ Create and expand technical resources of staff

+ Act as a mentor and aid in staff development

+ Actively enhance technical knowledge, remain abreast of evolving technologies and build professional reputation through presentations, publications, and public involvement in technical discipline

+ Lead and support proposal development



**Minimum Requirements**



+ Bachelor's degree in related field

+ 5+ years of relevant professional consulting experience

+ Ability to independently perform design project on various water applications including stormwater

+ Strong GIS and CADD skills

+ Must have excellent technical writing skills

+ Ability to demonstrate comprehensive understanding in physical, chemical, and hygraulic principles in water resources and design projects.

+ Ability to effectively express his or her self orally with clients and internal staff

+ Must exhibit a mature sense of professional responsibility and awareness of accepted standards of professional behavior

+ 40 hour HAZWOPER training



**Preferred Qualifications**



+ Master's degree in related field

+ Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, HydroCAD, EPA BASINS, MODFLOW

+ Experience with proposal development
