**Job Summary**

The Environment Division of AECOM is actively seeking a Nuclear Weapon Analyst to provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support to the Department of Defense (DOD)/Department of Energy (DOE) Joint Atomic Information Exchange Group (JAIEG), through the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Nuclear Technologies Directorate.

Technical expertise is required in support of mission-critical activities in collaboration and coordination among the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Defense Programs laboratories, DOD, and international partners. The selected candidate will provide technical analyses and assessments in direct support of the JAIEG. The candidate will support ongoing activities under the U.S./UK MDA, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) MDA, and other international cooperative activities. The candidate will review documents, meeting agendas, and reports to confirm that information exchanges are in compliance with applicable laws, department/agency policies, and procedures.

In support of the US/UK MDA, the Program Analyst will maintain continuous close liaison with NNSA Headquarters, the NNSA laboratories and production plants, the DOD Office of Nuclear Matters, U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs Office, the U.S. Air Force, and their UK counterparts

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Monitor and analyze scientific and technical exchanges conducted between the U.S. nuclear weapons enterprise and their UK/NATO counterparts

+ Process meeting arrangements to include reviewing and recording agendas and reports, requiring understanding of multiple technical issues and specialties

+ Solicit additional or confirmatory information on behalf of the Chief, JAIEG, as needed from U.S. meeting participants to clarify and determine appropriate meeting scope

+ Review outgoing U.S. documents containing atomic information for transmissibility and providing written documentation of transmissibility assessment

+ Conduct control and accountability of incoming foreign government atomic information

+ Perform documentary research to identify precedents for transmission decisions

+ Transfer documents containing atomic information between the U.S. and UK/NATO at the direction of Chief, JAIEG

+ Complete ad hoc assignments, as directed, such as qualitative analyses and consultation with technical experts to help Chief, JAIEG, make informed decisions

+ Some travel may be required, to include international travel (less than 10%)

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Active DoD Top Secret or DOE Q clearance required

+ Minimum BA/BS degree in technical or business area

+ Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a Master’s degree, including program management experience relevant to Federal management of the Nation’s nuclear weapons enterprise

+ Comprehensive knowledge of nuclear weapons science, nuclear policy, and historical nuclear policies and programs

+ Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including creation and management of spreadsheets, word processing documents, and presentations

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience in reviewing scientific and technical work

+ Proven ability to multi-task, self-manage, and prioritize work

+ Proven ability to interact with senior management

+ Must pass pre-employment drug screen

+ Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check

+ Must participate in and successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment fitness for duty questionnaire

+ Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in an indoor/office environment; position requires frequent keyboard/mouse operations, and rarely lifting of less than 25 pounds, standing/walking, climbing stairs, and performing repetitive or fine hand movements

**Preferred Qualifications**


+ Prior DoD or DoE nuclear experience
