**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Office Engineer for immediate employment for a project in Lynnwood, WA. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

+ Work directly with and communicate with clients, contractors, and other AECOM staff to meet the needs of each project

+ Work on behalf of various public agencies. Often requires work on multiple projects at the same time

+ Develop and maintain paper and electronic files using standardized filing organization

+ Prepare, manage and maintain documents for regular meetings such as agendas and minutes

+ Develop and maintain a variety of documents for tracking items such as Submittal Logs, RAMS, Issues Log, etc.

+ Prepare and/or assemble documentation such as change orders, work change directives, and Field Directives

+ Manage Contractor submittals including review for completeness; route for review/approval; return to contractor, and document approval

+ Communicate directly with the Contractor to resolve issues or problems particularly on administrative items

+ Ensure all documentation for federally funded projects is completed and meets requirements of the LAG manual, including verification of certified payrolls

+ Develop and/or revise current forms or processes to improve current systems and processes

+ Route contracts, amendments and change orders in accordance with client procedures

+ Prepare and/or support documentation for public agency grant reimbursements

+ Communicate with Client and other AECOM staff such as inspectors, administrators, Project Managers, and Purchasing

+ Research and provide information to support resolution of problems or issues

+ Draft and/or proofread a variety of documentation such as correspondence, handouts or flyers

+ Provide leadership and guidance as needed to ensure compliance with document control best management practices and requirements for federal funds

+ Reviews and provides recommendations on contractors' CPM baseline construction schedules and schedule updates

+ Reviews payment records and prepares monthly payment applications

+ Prepare change orders, change order estimates, and change order backup packages

+ Perform other Contract Administration functions as assigned

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Associates Degree or equivalent

+ 3+ years of experience

+ Thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures for federally funded transportation projects

+ Very good people and communication skills

+ Ability to work on multiple projects

+ Construction management administrative experience on Federally funded transportation projects

+ Familiarity with Washington Local Agency Guidelines (LAG) Manual

+ Experience in document control and filing systems, meeting minutes, RFI/Submittal and other Project logs and management

+ Proficient in MS Professional Office Suite including: Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint

+ Must be detail oriented, thorough, well organized and effectively manage time

+ Ability to multi-task in a high-energy environment and be able to prioritize multiple tasks

+ Must possess a background in construction or engineering related work activities to understand the terminology used in the field and office environment

+ Must be flexible and able to work in a very fast paced work environment and at times under the pressure of meeting critical deadlines

+ Must have a valid driver's license

+ The successful candidate may have to work in the office alone at times due to the construction staff being in the field

+ Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related field

+ Experience of the design phase of projects and basic understanding of design for transportation infrastructure projects

+ Experience with project management software systems

+ Proficient in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint
