**Job Summary**

TAMS is the independent building trade union operating division within AECOM, a premier, fully integrated infrastructure firm. We are looking for a turnaround planner to join our team at the Shell Sarnia Plant.

Responsibilities are as followed:

+ Responsible for monitoring and coordinating the overall daily updating of the shutdown program and cost forecasting that the progress of the planned work is within the completion date of the project and that the scheduled timing and costs are compatible with the work plan.

+ Lead and manager all other planners by personal example.

+ Analyse shutdown progress reports including an “S” curve submitted and prepared by the planner(s)

+ Analyse identified critical items on the schedule in order to allocate resources efficiently

+ Analyse submitted estimated resources required for additional work during the project and its effect to overall shutdown budget

+ Analyse entered additional work into the project program in order to monitor the effects on the overall schedule and costs

+ Ensure planners are up to date in information of the progress of the works and shutdown supervisors are advised and updated accordingly

+ Liaise with the Supervisors on problems and any other important changes that may influence project activities, such as resource adjustments, equipment work schedules and the critical path

+ Coordinate and analyse produced progressive cost reports with the Shutdown Manager

+ Recommend changes which could:

+ Reduce cost

+ Increase productivity

+ Improve quality

+ Keep the shutdown Business Manager informed of progress and specific job problems

+ Promote and facilitate good communications among all groups – Client departments and contractors

+ Fully understand the requirements of the relevant Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, in particular, with the duties and responsibilities of the organisation.

+ Maintaining a pro-active approach by implementing and promoting HSE awareness in regards to personal well being as well as that of their fellow employees, including the state of his/hers surroundings prior to, whilst working and on completion of all work.

+ Ensure that all employees in the workplace (including those of Subcontractors) comply with the site safety requirements and take immediate action against those who do not.

+ Required to encourage employees to report hazards, unsafe work practices, dangerous occurrences and all injuries, no matter how insignificant they may seem.

+ Liaise with employee Health and Safety Representatives so that prompt responses are given when safety issues are raised.

+ Participate in regular safety audits / inspections.

+ Contribute to and foster a positive team-working environment.

+ Participation in HSE, QA and Customer Service training and meetings as required.

+ Establish a strong relationship with all client and TAMS personnel.

+ Steward that the actions of the work team and or sub contractors working at the refinery are directed towards a positive customer outcome, by evaluating aspects of safety, punctuality, work quality, presentation, communication and courtesy towards all customers.

+ Steward compliance with TAMS and contract specific quality assurance and safety programmes at the same time promoting a continuous improvement philosophy.

+ Steward compliance with the TAMS and contract specific Sustaining Capital systems and Norms or other estimating database process policy and usage.

+ Steward the accuracy of the payroll and administration team.

+ Steward and be accountable for the overall performance of the site as measured by the ISC scorecards.

+ Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

+ Recommendations through the Better Way system in relation to work practices that could improve quality, increase productivity and reduce costs.

+ Pro-actively discuss opportunities with the client to enable the exploration of the possible provision of expanded or varied services that can add value.

+ Minimisation of unproductive time in terms of man-hours by ensuring all personnel in their care are fully utilised

+ Act on any non-conformance that appears in the project and implement corrective action, learn from errors and put in place actions to avoid reoccurrence.

+ Assist with quality system audits and compliance

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Minimum of five years' experience in Maintenance/Turnaround planning

+ Experience with planning systems (SAP, Primavera, MS Project, MS Excel)

+ Hands on SAP R3 Plant Maintenance or other CMMS system experience

+ Valid Driver's License

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Ability to liaise at all levels with Client and team members.

+ Competent computer skills, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

+ Team player to deliver desired outcomes.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Relevant Post-Secondary education (college or university), such as a related vocational or technical school program/diploma

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is an asset

+ Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset

+ P. Eng is an asset

+ Journeyman ticket in mechanical trade is an asset
