**Job Summary**

AECOM’s Ontario office is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager for immediate employment in our Project Management Organization (PMO) in Ontario. The role can be based out of or Markham, Guelph, Kitchener, Mississauga or Hamilton offices. The focus of this PMO group is assessment and remediation of Imperial Oil Limited/Exxon sites under fixed price and /or performance based contracts. The Project Manager will be responsible to manage a group of downstream oil and gas remediation and reclamation projects at former gas stations and retail facilities. This position will integrate into a team of environmental engineers, scientists and field technicians to provide leadership on an established program.

The appropriately qualified candidate will provide outstanding Project Management skills with a focus on scheduling, monitoring, tracking and controlling and will develop guide and mentor intermediate and entry-level staff.

The work requires technical knowledge of the areas of hydrogeology, soil sciences, remediation techniques, provincial contaminated sites regulations and human health/ecological risk assessments. The appropriately qualified applicant will have strong project management skills including financial project controls, scheduling, budget development, human and material resource planning, change management identification and control and client/stakeholder relationship development. The appropriately qualified applicant will be a key member in a PMO in Ontario and will report to the PMO Area Lead for Canada East.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Managing and Coordinating remediation and reclamation programs with large Oil and Gas Clients

+ Provide leadership and technical expertise in support of ongoing AECOM remediation and reclamation projects

+ Assist with developing and mentoring the Ontario-based team of Engineers, Geologists, Hydrogeologists and/or Scientists

+ Accountability for project performance and compliance with project delivery expectations

+ Demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery and technical problems

**Minimum Requirements**

+ 8+ years of relevant professional experience with strengths in Phased Environmental Site

+ Leading $5-$10M remediation and reclamation programs

+ Full understanding of Ontario regulations and CCME guidelines, in particular for remediation in for oil and gas clients.

+ Demonstrated project management and client development experience in the environmental business line

+ Experience coordinating Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments and reclamation

+ Experience developing and implementing project scheduling, monitoring and tracking systems

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Contract development and contractor management

+ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

+ Strong Client management skills

+ Ability to manage time effectively and competing deadlines

+ Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and Word

+ Can-do, positive attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree

+ Great autonomy, initiative, ease of communication within a large program team

+ Project Management Professional

+ Experience in Site Supervision

+ Experience in Contract Management/Administration
