**Job Summary**

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a **Self-Assessment and Continuous Improvement Manager** in Carlsbad, New Mexico.



The successful candidate is responsible for development and maintenance of the Contractor Assurance (CA) assessment and performance monitoring processes used by NWP including CA independent assessments, independent verification reviews of safety basis implementation, self-assessments and management observations. Develop and optimize NWP integrated assessment schedule for CA independent assessments and NWP self-assessments and track completion. Develop and maintain performance monitoring and reporting processes including key performance indicators, safety management program health reviews, and periodic performance analysis and reporting. Oversee the NWP Requirements Management Program and NWP Lessons Learned Program. Oversee development and delivery of related training. Guide and assist department managers on effective implementation of the CA System. Track and report activities to the Contractor Assurance Manager and Executive Safety and Quality Review Board. Direct work assignments to establish priorities and support project schedules in order to structure, implement and manage an effective CA performance improvement program that supports successful project execution. Perform other duties as assigned by the CA Department Manager.



**Minimum Requirements**



+ Bachelor of Arts/Science is required.

+ Twenty (20) years of related experience including three years of experience demonstrating/applying program expertise in Contractor Assurance related activities is required.

+ Five (5) years supervisory management experience is required.

+ Experience in DOE nuclear facility operations is required.

+ Previous assessment experience is required.



**Preferred Qualifications**



+ Background in various safety management/functional area programs such as Conduct of Operations, Maintenance, Radiation Protection, Emergency Management, Quality Assurance or Training and Procedures is strongly desired.

+ Experience performing or leading performance of readiness reviews or independent verification reviews of safety basis implementation is strongly desired.

+ Specialized training or certifications related to quality management, conduct of assessments or safety programs is preferred.

+ WIPP related experience is preferred.
