Job Description

HOK is looking for a SENIOR DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST to work at our client site in LONDON. The Senior Data Management Specialist is responsible for the day to day leadership of a Data Management team on site and/or working in a ‘cross account’ role with multiple client teams to ensure development of the practice and adherence to the practice philosophy and delivery of our contracted services.Often leading teams across multiple clients, the Senior Data Management Specialist has a strong emphasis on team leadership, inter-personal skills, client interaction, problem resolution, and project management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focused on the Data Management services within OSS, yet possesses a solid understanding of the Planning Services and how the two services are interconnected.
  • Builds and maintains a strong relationship with key client contacts.
  • Directs management level presentations that achieve desired outcomes and client confidence.
  • Leads and mediates meetings; guiding toward consensus and future steps.
  • Organizes project approaches, leads meetings with client representatives and service providers.
  • Provides conflict resolution/negotiation locally with the client’s occupants, and other service providers.
  • Defines services and deliverables including the development and improvement of the methods and processes for services and the practice.
  • Leads multiple project assignments. Often this will involve Project Management of the implementation of a new CAFM/IWMS system for the client.  Is able to manage the project, resources and budget to a satisfactory outcome.
  • Lead and Mentor; recognize, coach and develop members of the OSS team including effectively conducting performance evaluations. Recruits new talent.
  • Knows client buying patterns and competitor situation.
  • Prepares and negotiates proposals and prime contracts.
  • Achieves local and group-wide sales goals.
  • Prepares business plan for area of responsibility and oversees its achievement.
  • Conducts executive level interviews/presentations related specifically to Data Management and subsequent technology, but with a very strong understanding of Planning and how they interface.
  • Communicates business performance the end of each accounting period.
  • Provides leadership within On Site Services and with HOK Practices.
  • Understands and communicates team success factors and nurtures development of productive culture.
  • Actively involved in the OSS marketing strategies; and able to communicate services in an informative manner.
  • Prepares marketing strategy for areas of specialization.
  • Undertakes at least one marketing sweep annually and develops new and existing clients and client account relationships.
  • Generates support materials, and/or RFI, RFP responses/proposals.
  • Attends local professional events, presents to conferences and or places articles in a regional publications.
  • Conducts Long Distance Learning (LDL) programs.
  • Is able to effectively conduct ‘needs assessment’ studies as it relates to the client’s CAFM/IWMS technology requirements and can provide a fully rounded set of recommendations.
  • Leads consulting engagements specific to Data Management services and or the technology required. This would include development of a framework, processes and work instructions leading to a further engagement of HOK services.
  • Functions as the clients Single Point of Contact for the HOK OSS on site team.
  • Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
  • Organizes and coordinates project teams with other HOK members from outside the immediate account team.
  • Development annual operating plan for the account and participates in account strategy development with OSS leadership team.
  • Ensures all contracted services are delivered; KPIs are met, measured and reported; assuring service provided and deliverable quality meet client expectations.
  • Manages changes in HOK team to increase effectiveness of services, striving to continuously add value.
  • Manages the integration of new services or service changes.

Required Skills

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • English language proficiency.
  • Good customer relationship management skills. Evidenced by client understanding, and issue avoidance.
  • Knowledge and ability to use analytical and problem-solving techniques; advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Significant knowledge of the major CAFM/IWMS systems, their capabilities and how to optimize their use.
  • Significant project management experience, delivering projects in remote locations.
  • Strong analysis and spreadsheet capabilities are essential components.
  • Strong graphic presentation skills; uses PowerPoint at an advanced level.
  • Ability to make decisions, and work in uncertain business climates.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Capable of analyzing and strategically evaluating complex business/account issues.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current workplace planning theories and their impact on IWMS data use.
Required Experience

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in architecture, real estate and/or equivalent experience.
  • Professional certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of previous experience in Corporate Real Estate field, understanding all aspects of how a CRE department operates.
  • Previous supervisory experience required; 5 years’ experience in collaborative team building.
