**Job Summary**

As the Structural Department Manager you will develop and deliver a business plan to grow the offering across the Gulf Southwest Region; networking across the region to join multidisciplinary teams on winning and delivering quality projects, leading client relationship development and essentially grow the market presence of the Structural group in the region.

Initially focusing on relationship building within existing relationships that AECOM has within the Dallas Ft. Worth area; we are seeking to extend our reach into new clients and sectors in collaboration with the broader Buildings + Places services.

Working closely with the regional business line leader and national teams, will lead the growth of the Structural practice area, driving collaboration across the business to leverage AECOM opportunities and expertise in the region.

As a technical leader in your field of expertise and as such a project manager in their own right, you will be expected to manage large or high profile projects ensuring they meet profitability, marketing, and management targets. You will lead the development of new and existing client relationships to further establish AECOM as the go-to firm for design and planning services.

In this role the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

+ Contribute significantly to the successful design, production, coordination and management of buildings projects

+ Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members in the design and specification development of structural building systems

+ Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of technical information and project documentation in accordance with QA/QC programs

+ Ensure that engineering deliverables (e.g., drawings, specifications, analysis) comply with applicable regulations, standards, corporate procedures and sound engineering practices

+ Work closely with other discipline Engineers, Designers and Project Managers as a key team player within an integrated multi-disciplinary project delivery team

+ Manage single-discipline and multi-discipline projects on time and on budget with quality meeting client expectations

+ Identify and promote growth in key strategic markets as well as with key strategic clients

+ Provide leadership and mentoring of technical staff

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering

+ Registered as a Professional Engineer in Texas

+ 13+ years’ experience in building structures

+ Or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience

+ Must have a well-rounded background in structural project design and delivery to meet various challenges

+ Background in building structural design (concrete, masonry, wood, and steel)

+ Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team delivering various projects in complexity and size/scope

+ Knowledge of steel and concrete design

+ Knowledge of industry standard computer analysis and design software as well as BIM

+ The ability to work with, interpret, and apply national and local building codes

+ Proficient in the use of computers for making engineering calculations, spreadsheets, and report writing

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Preferred experience in business development and project management

+ PMP designation or other project management accreditation

+ Commercial and Corporate building design experience preferred

+ Sports Arena design experience preferred
