**Job Summary**

The Civil Engineering Department of AECOM's Transportation Business Line is actively seeking Water Resource Engineers for immediate employment in our Wilmington, DE office. Under the supervision of a Project Manager/Project Engineer, the appropriately qualified applicant will be part of a Design Team responsible for the design of small to large-scale Highway Improvement Projects (bridge replacements, corridor projects, arterials, freeways, interchanges). The applicant should be able to demonstrate an established career in water resources specific to transportation related projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Oversees the production of drainage/stormwater management/E&S/permitting aspects of projects

+ Provides technical direction to and mentors younger engineers

+ Ensures corporate quality procedures are followed

+ Meets client quality, schedule, and budget expectations

+ Interacts with clients and oversees sub-consultants

+ Assists Project Managers with various tasks including developing scope, schedule, and budgets for projects

+ Drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment pollution control (E&S), permitting, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in transportation or water resources

+ 5+ years of relevant experience

+ Professional Engineering license

+ Candidate should be proficient with utilizing design software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation/InRoads

Experience in multiple elements of civil engineering design related to highway and stormwater/water resources projects including, but not limited to the following:

+ Plan and construction documents preparation (engineering analysis, plans, reports, specifications and cost estimate)

+ Site grading and drainage

+ Hydrology and hydraulics

+ Stormwater management/best management practices

+ Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control

+ Permitting

+ Experience with Delaware Urban Runoff Management Model (DURMM)

+ Stormwater modeling experience with programs such as; HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, StormCAD, PondPack, etc

+ Strong understanding of Delaware Sediment and Stormwater Regulations

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Good analytical skills to interpret data and modeling results

+ Responsible for the effective management of own time and effort, in accordance with project priorities and objectives

+ Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and oversee work of less experienced engineers

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Professional Engineering Registration within Delaware

+ Experience with DelDOT, PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike projects

+ Experience with Highway Design
