**Job Summary**

_AECOM is actively recruiting for a mid to senior level individual to provide Systems Engineering support to the COLUMBIA Class Submarine Program Office (PMS397) Ship Control System (SCS) System Integration Team (SIT) Lead and, as required, the Electrical Major Area Integration Team (MAIT) Lead. Tasking shall include:_

1. _Provide direct support to the Ship Control SIT Lead and Deputy in efforts to complete the design and integration of Ship Control System (SCS) and the Hovering and Missile Compensation Control System (HMCCS)._

2. _Facilitate timely decisions in the review and adjudication of all design products and written correspondence by the appropriate NAVSEA technical stakeholders, Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), UK, NAVY Field Activities in accordance with Ship Specifications to meet commitment completion dates._

3. _Interface with stakeholders to generate letters and packages for official release._

4. _Establish and manage SCS/HMCCS commitments. Track and report status of commitments. Attend weekly commitment meetings and other applicable meetings required to support Ship Control SIT Lead and Deputy._

5. _Other duties as assigned._

**Minimum Requirements**

1. _Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) and at least seven (7) years of experience with Navy shipboard (submarine preferred) Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems and acquisition programs required._

2. _Candidate must have an understanding of the fundamental principles of systems engineering and NAVSEA acquisition processes._

3. _Ability to understand and succinctly summarize, communicate, and document technical issues._

4. _Knowledge of NAVY shipboard and submarine FBW systems, and DOD acquisition programs._

5. _Knowledge of the NAVY correspondence manual, English grammar, spelling, and punctuation to correct errors in draft material. The ability to use a variety of software products._

6. _Professional knowledge of the Requirements Manual for Submarine Fly-By-Wire Ship Control Systems, NAVSEA T9044-AD-MAN-010_

7. _The ability to use a variety of software products (e.g. MS Office, MS Outlook) and information systems (e.g. CDMS, CITIS, SWSNET, TeamCenter)_

**Preferred Qualifications**

1. _Organizational skills, technical management skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required._

2. _Self-motivated, possess analytical skills and be customer-oriented._

3. _Ability to clearly communicate ideas to others verbally and in writing._
