**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Transportation Project Manager for employment in the Sandy Springs, GA office.

In November 2016, Fulton County voters, including residents of Sandy Springs, approved a Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) for the purpose of funding transportation improvements. The collection of revenue will begin April 1, 2017 and end March 31, 2022, although the program will extend beyond that date. The total revenue expected to be collected is approximately $103 million. This position is for a full time Project Manager to assist the Program Manager in the management of a variety of TSPLOST transportation projects and activities. This position will require working with professional consultants, advisory boards, citizens and City staff and elected officials.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Developing project definition and scope

+ Writing Requests for Proposals for engineering design

+ Consultant selection

+ Management of the complete design process

+ Review of design and construction cost estimates

+ Assisting in right of way acquisition and utility coordination

+ Report directly to the TSPLOST Program Manager

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or demonstrated equivalent such as a combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience

+ Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in transportation engineering field

+ Candidate should have a strong technical background with the design and construction of various types of transportation projects including road and intersection improvements, sidewalks and multi-use paths

+ Experience with creating and/or reviewing transportation design drawings

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office

+ Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

+ Experience with managing projects through the GDOT plan development process (PDP)

+ Proven experience delivering multiple projects with various funding sources on time and within budget

+ Experience giving presentations in public settings for technical projects to non-technical audiences

+ The ability to get along with other coworkers, design consultants and city officials is required

+ Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and policies

+ Must meet attendance standards as determined by management

+ Occasionally he or she will be called upon occasionally to work overtime, such as attendance at public hearings and City Council meetings

+ Must possess a valid driver’s license

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ A valid Georgia PE license

+ Local government work experience

+ Experience with transportation design consultants in Georgia
