**Job Summary**

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will support the Transportation Department of DLA Distribution Hill AFB, Utah.

Must have a valid driver's license. Works under the supervision of a designated Lead, Supervisor or Manager. Must have or be able to obtain license to use MHE within 30 days of selection. Performs range of duties within the classified department, ensures items being received, stowed or shipped meet the requirements of MIL STD 129N. Receives daily work from Lead or Supervisor. The current opening is to fill a need on day shift, (Rotating Saturdays) however the incumbent may be asked to work, swing shift, which my include weekends and holidays.

Essential Responsibilities:

Identify, examine, classify, accept, reject, and dispose of material per DLA regulations. Examinations may be visual or require measuring devices and techniques.

Must possess knowledge of supply inspection/examination procedures for material.

Load material on and off of skids, pallets, stands.

Prepare labels as required

Prepares reports as required

Operates tools and equipment in performance of duties.

Receive data from and input data to DSS, and other automated supply systems in performance of duties.

Operates MHE and hold appropriate license

Count, weigh, record data, apply tags and labels

Must possess knowledge of proper handling, identification and storage of hazardous material

Must possess knowledge and/or abilities to understand, interpret and obtain a MSDS through different means at any given time.

Available to respond to customers and/or employees at any given time.

Interfaces with Military and Maintenance groups.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Other Responsibilities:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED required. Minimum eighteen months experience in material handling, supply, distribution, inspection, QA, or related processes. Must be able to use DSS and other automated distribution systems used at DLA. Must be able to follow requirements of MIL-STD 129 and DLA Manuals or other directives as required. Must be licensed and experienced in the use of MHE. Must have valid driver’s license. Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The individual and supervisor assure that the degree of risk is reduced to the lowest level. Work involves repetitive motions and may involve sitting and/or standing for long periods of time. Work in this position may require the incumbent be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead and/or repetitively.
