**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Business Line Department Leader (BLDL) for FEMA Services in the Southeast Region which includes the nationwide Watershed Concepts Business Unit. Candidates will be report to the Director of Operations (DOO) and the Southeast Regional Business Line Leader (RBLL) for the Water Business Line in the geography. Candidates are responsible for employee development and best practices for project delivery. Candidates will be expected to reside in or relocate to the Southeast Region. Occasional business travel may be required.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Work with water department managers, other BLDLs, and Regional Market Sector Leaders (RMSLs), to develop, capture, and grow the market share for water resources across the Southeast Region

+ Align business plans and growth strategies to national and regional objectives and initiatives

+ Lead and develop a strong and diverse team of technical practitioners, business development teams and operations managers towards excellence in project delivery

+ Oversee the management of all phases of Project Execution

+ Meet and/or exceed Financial Performance (revenue, wins, bookings, profit/margin, AR management, cash, budgeting, etc)

+ Mentor and develop staff and career planning

+ Collaborate with the DOO to foster and promote a culture of excellence in Project Management and Project Delivery

+ Apply best practices to project delivery by leveraging technology and standard methodologies of the Technical Practice Network (TPN)

+ Coordinate with the office of Risk Management to ensure Health and Safety measures are properly implemented

**Minimum Requirements**

+ BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline

+ 10+ years of experience in water resources markets and programs

+ Experience with FEMA programs including Map Modernization and Risk Mapping, Assessment, and Planning (Risk MAP)

+ National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) program knowledge

+ Professional Engineering License in the Southeastern United States

+ Experience managing natural science professionals, engineers, designers, and technicians

+ Experience in the successful management of business financials for engineering and consulting contracts, in particular for Federal government agencies and clients

+ Must have Valid driver’s license and be able to drive rental vehicles on behalf of the company

+ Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

+ Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ MS Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline

+ 15+ years of experience in water resources markets and programs

+ Experience with FEMA programs including Map Modernization and Risk Mapping, Assessment, and Planning (Risk MAP)

+ National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) program knowledge

+ Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) or the ability to obtain this certification

+ Professional Engineering License in NC or the ability to obtain a NC PE through reciprocity within 3 months
