Working to Improve Construction Workplace Safety

Construction employers, in association with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), are dedicating the first week of May to workplace safety training.

The National Fall Prevention Stand-Down campaign is designed to increase awareness and preventative training on construction sites. OSHA reports in 2014, there were 345 fatalities on construction workplaces caused by falls.

While the National Fall Prevention Stand-Down dedicates a week to the cause of safety, employers can place year-round emphasis on safety. The CareerCast Construction Network database features jobs focused on safety in the construction industry.
