Position Title Business Manager III

Job Summary

Essential Job Function:

  1. Provide financial/business assistance in the areas of business operations in support of project management and contract performance. Business Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling business administration functions such as accounting, human resources, logistics, materials management, data processing, safety, real estate, office and general services, camp management, warehousing, and finance at all organization levels, including foreign and domestic field projects.

  2. Perform specialized financial, accounting or planning activities following general project or departmental guidelines, process and procedures in support of variance financial functions. Studies business methods in order to improve work flow, simplify reporting procedures, or implement cost reductions.

  3. Assists in preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

  4. Involvement in the preparation of proposals.

  5. Assists in selecting, hiring, training of business administration staff for new projects.

  6. Maintains all business administration activities and procedures in accordance with company policies.

  7. A critical aspect of this positions function within a project is close liaison with such departments as Finance, Human Resources, Materials Management, Equipment, Real Estate, etc.

  8. Verification and Processing of Accounts Payable vendor/subcontract invoices within purchase order/subcontract terms. Works with vendors and subcontractors to resolve and invoicing discrepancies.

  9. Audit and process Travel Expense Reports for payment.

  10. Provide assistance to Germantown Service Center in processing timely Client Billings per contract billing requirements.

  11. Prepare Cost Point journal entries as required.

  12. Prepare intercompany documents, charging information, and transactions per company policy.

  13. Provide accounting reconciliations as required.

  14. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

  15. This position is located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements (including education): Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Economics and at least 8 years of job-related experience.

Excellent MS Office 2010 skills,

Excellent written and oral communication skills;

Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Being able to transition quickly from initiative to initiative is essential.

Position will require some domestic and international travel.

Government contracting including Federal Acquisition (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

Working knowledge of Costpoint and Cognos highly desired and will be an evaluation criteria in determining the preferred candidate

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Sharepoint a plus.
