Position Description:

You can make a salary. Or you can make a difference. Or you can work as a Healthcare Knowledge and Insights Program Lead at Herman Miller and make both.

About this Opportunity
As a Healthcare Knowledge and Insights Program Lead, you'll lead the strategy to establish, communicate, and sustain the key areas of knowledge that connect the greatest needs of Herman Miller's Healthcare customers with unique and differentiated Herman Miller Healthcare solutions. You will be responsible for owning the knowledge interface and communication vehicles for the Product, Sales, and Marketing Teams to ensure the right information gets into the right hands at the right time. You'll facilitate the socialization of research into marketing materials and expertise to support the sales process, as well as influence Herman Miller Healthcare's evolving knowledge and research agenda. You will also work in conjunction with the Vice President Strategic Marketing and Creative Direction, Healthcare to instill the Herman Miller "Places of Care" point of view (POV) in all global markets that we serve to further position and reinforce Herman Miller as a thought leader and differentiate our solutions with unique insights.

What You'll Do
You'll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, lead others, and be an owner every day as you...
  • Act as a knowledge and insights liaison for customer experience visits and Sales/dealer engagements.
  • Collaborate with the Applied Clinical Knowledge Lead to grow and leverage external networks to advance the overall knowledge set.
  • Create and align the organization around an annual knowledge agenda that connects Herman Miller's progressive clinical POV with relevant customer needs and product development/launch efforts.
  • Determine how insight is integrated and communicated across audiences, including customers and A D. You'll also ensure that the insight is actionable and useful as a differentiator.
  • Drive Herman Miller's knowledge programming and experience strategy, including speaking engagements, educational sessions/events, continuing education units (CEUs), and knowledge-centered strategic initiatives.
  • Manage the process to gather, synthesize, and disseminate insights from various parts of the organization.
  • Partner with the Clinical Product Team to communicate a knowledge path between product development and offerings.
  • Partner with the Integrated Healthcare Marketing Lead to connect with customers/A D to identify new opportunities for tools and assets.
  • Partner with the Audience/Content Marketing Lead to develop a content calendar and curate relevant knowledge to support the Editorial Team in generating content.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
  • Work directly with the Marketing Team to develop messaging and drive consistency in how Herman Miller positions Healthcare knowledge.

Sound Like You?
You might be just who we're looking for if you have...
  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. A Master's degree in Research, Psychology, Human Factors, Sociology, Architecture, or Design is highly preferred.
  • Ten or more years of relevant work experience, including experience leading a team.
  • Experience working within or alongside academic and/or market researchers, along with deep exposure to workplace design and/or healthcare facility design.
  • Proven internal and market-facing communication skills, including the ability to represent a brand through customer interactions and public appearances.
  • The ability to bring order and clarity to complex concepts and to interpret and/or lead research projects. You'll also need systems thinking and strategic prioritization skills.
  • Customer/user experience in design and the ability to navigate complex matrix organizations.
