Job Summary

The Design and Consulting Services Division of AECOM is actively seeking highly motivated Laser Scanning Technician for immediate employment in the Newark, DE office. The appropriately qualified applicant will perform high definition laser scan surveys in the field and office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform high definition laser scan surveys for transportation, architectural and structural projects

  • Reduce laser scan data

  • Register laser scan data

  • Provide 3D modeling in Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit or Bentley MicroStation

  • Provide support to AECOMs multiple survey offices across the United States

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma

  • 2+ years of experience

  • Experience with terrestrial, handheld and mobile laser scanning.

  • Experience with Leica Cyclone, Autodesk Recap, Bentley Context Capture and Revit

  • Experience with MicroStation Inroads and Autodesk Civil3D

  • Capable of functioning with spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well on teams

  • Must be willing to travel

  • Must possess a valid drivers license

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in surveying or engineering technology

  • Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation

  • Experience with field to finish processes
