About this Opportunity
As a Sales Operations Manager, you'll manage a regional sales office and provide advanced, diverse, and confidential administrative/project support for the local Sales Leadership and Sales/A D Teams. You may also have Work Team Leader responsibilities, depending on whether a Sales Operations Coordinator position is resident in the regional sales office.

What You'll Do
You'll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, lead others, and be an owner every day as you...

You will coordinate all Sales Region, A D, and corporate events held in the local sales office, as well as approve and coordinate logistics for West Michigan client trips and other training sessions.

You will write/edit client materials (proposals, letters, brochures, posters, invitations, thank-you notes, holiday cards, etc.). You'll also manage the color/material/finish (CMF) inventory if the sales office is not an NDC.
  • Maintain Sales Region, corporate policy, and procedure documentation by updating employee, region, and corporate files.
  • Manage and select vendors and negotiate facility equipment purchases, leases, and maintenance contracts.
  • Manage consignment/mock-up accounts and the Loaner Chair Program.
  • Manage Time/Attendance System (TAS) records for all regional salaried employees.
  • Manage the use and maintenance of the local sales office facility by acting as a liaison with the corporate Facilities group for re-dos and tune-ups. You'll also be responsible for maintaining the appearance and upkeep of the sales office consistent with corporate standards.
  • Manage and maintain iSPOT (Herman Miller Opportunity Management System) information for the Regional Sales Team as appropriate.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
  • Prepare, maintain, and audit regional budgets (including T&E per employee). You'll also manage petty cash, verify invoices, and submit for payment.
  • Produce and update pricing signal/contracts as needed/appropriate.
  • Provide administrative support for Sales leadership by filing, mailing, scheduling team meetings/trips, managing the calendar, managing expenses, maintaining the inventory of office supplies and Sales Source materials (literature and amenities), and ensuring customer phone calls and messages are processed on a timely basis.
  • Provide backup support for the NDC Team when requested/appropriate.
  • Research and develop client/competitor information as requested.
  • Take responsibility for coordinating and referring internal sales/dealer activities and inquiries and follow-up on customer service issues, paperwork, etc. You may also act a liaison for local Sales leadership with all contacts.
  • Select, hire, train, and manage the Sales Administration staff for the Sales Region or area as appropriate/necessary.
  • Track regional/individual sales and produce regional/individual scorecard reports by managing confidential correspondence, reports, and data transmissions. You will enter and retrieve confidential sales information and gather data/report output within established reporting deadlines (forecasts, orders/shipments Business Objects, SPW, etc.).

Sound Like You?
You might be just who we’re looking for if you have...
